Diabetes is a disease that affects how the body uses glucose a sugar that is the body's main source of fuel. When you eat, Glucose from the food gets into your bloodstream, your pancreas makes a hormone called insulin, which helps the glucose get into the body's cells, and your body gets the energy it needs. Type 1 diabetes occurs when the pancreas fails to make enough insulin. Make sure he follows 3 things always.. DIABETIC DIET, regular EXERCISE, and most important of all.. daily INSULIN doses.

I am a 22 year old female who has type 1 diabetes. I take insulin shots everyday before meals and before I go to bed. I have been getting extremely bloated after anything I eat to the point where people have asked me if I am pregnant. This has been going on for about 3 months. I went to a GI who perscribed me a medication called Xifaxan . It has not helped me at all so far. When I looked up what the medication was for, it says that it is perscribed for travelers diarrhea which I thought was weird because I am not experiencing any diarrhea. I also am not constipated, I use the restroom atleast once a day and after I have gone my stomach will look somewhat better but I am still bloated and no where near how flat it used to be. This issue is really depressing me, if anyone can help please let me know. I d also like to know if I should keep taking the xifaxan. Thanks for your help.

For the past 6 months, I have been feeling nauseous, dizzy, winded, bloated, fatigued (EXTREME) and it gets worse right before I begin my cycle. Ive had a detailed blood study done and everything is normal. I have gained about 50 lbs too...HOW??? i dont even know.
