Hi. My 2 year old has been diagnosed w mycoplasma pneumonia. Whenever I talk to one of his doctors they ask me if he has a rash. Up until now all was ok. He developed a rash on an earlobe. Should I be worried. He had Rosefin last week and now is having Zithromax. Thanks!
Hello Since diagnosis is established so it is very simple to suggest something : On physical examination usually doctors find rashes (skin eruptions( e.g. erythema multiforme major, rashes ). Physical examiantion also reveals wheezing . Since your son is taking most potent and perfect antibiotics for MYcoplasmapneumonia ( azithromycin 10 mg / kg body weight in single dose). The treatment is recommended only for 5 days ( 1st day high dose , next 4 day half of first day). Not so serious if treated well in time. Good luck.
