What Is The Yellowish Part In My Tonsil?

Hi doc, i have some concern regarding my tonsils. i can see some some yellowish part in the left tonsil and i think this is one of the cause that when i swallow i feel slight pain. Sometimes i feel like, i want to remove it using my finger. Once this yellowish part is removed it has a strange smell. What could this be? Is this a serious problem?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to tonsillitis.

I suggest using a throat spray for local application.

I also suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the pain.

If the symptoms continue, antibiotics may be needed.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
