Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hey my period is on 15 Nov I had unprotected sex. With my bf on 20th Nov I take I pill within 12 hour after 5 6 day it s start bleeding and I m little worried about this. Please suggest me what to do to stop vaginal bleeding is there any possible way to stop this plzzz help
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. You took I-pill within 12 hour of sex. It contain high progesterone level. Your bleeding is breakthrough bleeding due to progesterone withdrawal effect. It will last for 3 to 4 days and will goes its own. If not resolves in 7 days then tranexemic acid by consulting the gynecologist will help to reduce the bleeding. Your next period could be earlier, delayed by 1 to 2 week and excessive bleeding can occur. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, maintain proper pelvic hygiene.
Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.
Best regards, Dr. Sagar
