you should have restaging of cancer by PET-CT Scan.if disease have progressed than 3rd line of chemotherapy(DHAP/ESHAP) can be started . if there is repeated lines of chemotherapy than final option is BMT.

Hello,
Please discuss with your doctor regarding bone marrow transplantation.

There are radionuclide tagged antibodies (Zevalin and Bexxar) which are also used in treating resistant lymphomas. Your doctor can tell you if that treatment can be given.

Good luck

hi welcome to healthcaremagic..
treatment options depends upon *The grade of the lymphoma (low, intermediate, or high grade).
* The stage of the disease.
* The location of the tumor.
* The patient's age and overall health.
If nothing works out u can go for monoclonal antibody immunotherapy or stem cell transplantation..consult a good medical oncologist

I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma back in 1997. It was Satge II. I had a thorocotamy done and 40 seesions of radiation done. In 2000 they found another tumor in the throat and in the right lung, both were removed with surgery again and I didnt have anymore occurances. Since than I have always just felt under the weather, my asthma almot out of control and back in 2006, my doctors fealt I developed pulmonary fibrosis. For the past 4 months I have been struggiling and the doctor I am seeing is just constantaly prescribing new mediciation and new dosages one after the other to help. My heart rate is consistanly about 100 to 108, I have some fluid build up around the heart and I have chest pains and a lot of difficulty in breathing. I just picked up my Cat Scan results to take to a lung specialist I am getting an appointment with and the report said the following things; 1. 1.0 cm pretracheal mediastinal lymph node. 2. A few small scattered retroperitoneal lymph nodes. 3. Small bilateral external iliac chain lymph nodes measure up to 1.3 cm. 4. Small scattered bilateral inguinal lymph nodes without adenopathy. what exactly do these mean? i researched them and from what i saw it could be nothing but with someone that has had lymphoma it could be something and should be checked out. is there any reason for concern or should i not even worry about it.

I have follicular lymphoma and was wondering if taking supplements would be helpful. I am a 60 year old female. I am currently taking maintenance dosage of Rituxan total of 8 treatments, on my 6th treatment next. My cancer is in remission at this time. I also have gained a lot of belly fat since I started the Rituxan. I have had no other type of cancer treatments. My appetite is good, but I do exercise and I eat more plant based foods. Do not understand weight gain other than treatments ( 20lbs) gained since treatments. thank you

Quick background. Diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on January 13th, started Chemo on January 27th, finished Chemo on June 29th. PET-scan on August 22th was all clear & blood work on the same day looked good according to my Ecologist. My question / concern. 3 days ago my right bicep started to ache…that night, about 2 inches up my arm from my bicep it felt like I was punched. Now I have a huge bruise on my arm and I do not recall getting injured on that arm at all. What can this be?

What are the chances of a 27 year old female having hodgkins lymphoma? Symptoms, persistent painless pea sized lymph nodes in upper and lower neck (going on 8 months, started with one now about 5), pea size lymph nodes in chest/ armpit, fatigue (thyroid, liver, red blood cell count rules out), severly itchy scalp, rash on upper shoulders chest and back, persistent sweating, headaches 2 - 3 days per week (only go away with sleep no drugs work), no weight loss, difficulty swallowing saliva (feels like there is something stuck in my throat, been this way for years), easily out of breath (5ft 4 about 135 pounds),

I'm a 46 yr. old premenopausal woman, enjoying life as a piano teacher, with relatively little stress, compared with the days of nursing my parents years ago (my mum died of High grade gastric Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, aged 57). I've lost quite a lot of weight, sometimes get night sweats, and I can see a lymph node about the size of a pecan nut in front of my left clavicle. My 22 yr old son who is studying 5th year medicine, and reckons he can feel a couple of large ones. One is nearer my neck, in my left shoulder, though I can't see them. I have been getting pain in that shoulder and in the arm with hand weakness. Last evening the veins in my wrist and hand swelled up for a while and I felt rather weak, with palpitations. And kept waking in the night with odd sudden thumps of the heart. I wondered whether I had a constriction of blood vessels in the arm or a separate circulatory issue. Do you think I could have Hodgkin's Lymphoma, given that several blood test results are acceptable, a GI endoscopy 2 weeks ago was all clear, except I still had porridge oats in my stomach 7 hours after breakfast, so they asked if I was diabetic and a fasting blood test proved negative. My chest Xray 3 weeks ago was clear, though an abdominal ultrasound scan last week showed a small non-shadowing 3.7mms hyperechoic focus near the posterior gallbladder wall. I sometimes have trouble emptying my bladder, so for the internal womb ultrasound,I had supposedly emptied it but the ultrasound showed that it still contained 168ccs. I am a pianist, and have been afraid to play in public recently, as I tend to lose a bit of control of my bladder, (and sometimes at night) though that is more of a minor issue as far as I'm concerned, at the moment. I have an appointment booked for a neck ultrasound on 13th June, but would like someone's opinion now, if possible on the seriousness or otherwise of my condition. Thanks.
