Welcome to HCM!

Your child seems to have bowel infection, he sould ideally get an antibiotic , like - cefixime, twice a day, for 3-5 days ( can be given in injectable also if he cannot take it orally or vomits ). Along with paracetamol ( if there is fever), may give oral metocloperamide drops/ syrup for vomitings.

He should continue to eat and take liquids adequately, ORS solution is best if they're are loose stools. with medicine, he will surely become better in a day or two.

please donot worry and start treatment.
## It will be helpful to get his blood counts also of possible.

Hi,

I have gone through your query.
Your son is suffering from Acute Gastroenteritis. Avoid giving him beef, as it will aggravate the condition. He requires medical attention as soon as possible. Antibiotic like norfloxacin and tinidazole should be started oral if he don't have vomiting at present. Dose need to be adjusted according to weight by a pediatrician.
In the meantime keep him hydrated with oral rehydration solution to prevent electrolyte imbalance.
