What Is The Treatment For Vomiting And Dry Heaves After Eating Hot Dog?

I ate a hotdog and an hour later I started sweating bad, then vomited once, then had dry heaves. I have taken gravol and now laying down. What would have caused that and should I go get looked at? My stomach still hurts bad like period cramps on both sides and I feel weak.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe, it appears to be the food poisoning, may be due to some infection, in the food.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms ofloxacin, ranitidine, domperidone, and loperamide if necessary.
You may need to have infusion of fluids if the vomiting or loose motions are continued.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
