What Is The Treatment For Unwanted Hairs On The Arms And Legs?
Hello, My daughter is 10 years old and I have some concerns. She is starting to develop underarm hair and some pubic hair. She has zero breast buds. I went through puberty very late around 16 and have extremely small breasts(below size A). I do not want her to go through the same ordeal I did. She also has hairy arms and legs. Could this be a hormonal imbalance?
Hello and welcome to HCM SInce your daughter is only 10 and has just started with puberty changes its too early to tell. Breast buds will start to develop soon. This is normal for her age.All kids go through a variation in the stages of puberty. The age of puberty has also come down over the years. Just maintain a healthy diet and good level of physical activity. Do not stress over the issue yet, stress can affect her as well. You will have to observe for changes over the next couple of years. It maybe genetic to start puberty late but she is already showing hormonal changes so just keep a watch. There is no cause for worry yet. Do keep in mind that family history of any hormonal disorders, thyroid dysfunction etc has to be ruled out if needed. It is too early to rule out hormonal imbalance yet. She seems to be on track. Hope this helps your worry for now.
