What Is The Treatment For Typhoid Fever?
My duaghter has been dignosed for typhoid fever as her WIDAL test is + on 21st july, Dr treated her for 12 days by MAHACEF Plus 100 with 1&1/2 Tab Twice daily. after Intial day of fever she had 7 days without any fever but from 29th onwards she is having low grade fever which comes only in evening time. Now we are worried, what should we do as one doctor has suggested us that her dosase were low compare to her weight. Her AGe is 8 Yrs and weight is 29 KG

Hi...the dose is definitely low when compared to her weight. It could be typhoid fever which has not responded well. The dose should have been Cefixime at 200mg one tablet twice a day for 14 days totally.
