What Is The Treatment For Throat Swelling?

I got my tongue pierced almost a week ago, my throat was a little sore but today my throat is swollen and I have sore swollen knots under my jaw on the top of my neck. Is this normal or should I be concerned? What should I do to help with the pain and swelling?
