General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Five months baby with diarrhea, coughing, vomiting and the inability to suckle is not normal for this age and indicate the following:
- Looks to be bacterial infection thus, causing the symptoms as you have mentioned
- Inability to suckle is dangerous as small babies of 5 months can go into dehydration very fast

Hence, I would advise you the following:
- First of all, stop self medication at home
- Take urgently to a pediatrician / neonatologist for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations
- May be advised admission to the hospital if the inability to swallow remains as the baby needs intravenous fluids to maintain hydration and electrolyte balance
- Continued management as advised by the doctor strictly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
