What Is The Treatment For Throat Cancer?

My wife has just been confirmed with throat cancer. While she has got it a very early stage and her specialists proposed surgery rather than kemo etc. He scans are "clean" but her P16 test results was negaive. Which I belive it not good. But I don't understand what that mean for her on a longer term basis. Can you please explain? Thanks John C

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
Sha has throat cancer. But please specify the site whether cancer is of larynx, pharynx, eesophagus or some other area in throat. If it is early stage then treatment is surgery followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy according to need and type of cancer. In late stage surgery is not possible. Prognosis depends on type, site and spread of cancer. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
