What Is The Treatment For Swollen And Bruised Knee?

I fell on rt knee approx. 2 wks ago. Immed swelling/bruising, helped greatly with ice/compression/NSAID. Could actually walk on it immed without much pain at all. Could not bend it, but can now. Still have approx. 3 inch pocket of squishy fluid. Will this eventually be absorbed? I did not get an xray. I am 64 and have arthritis in both knees. Can I fully recover on my own?

HI
Well come to HCM
Knee joint is very fragile one and highly vulnerable to injury, this must not be underestimated and better to get done the imaging study and MRI would be the best option this would rule out the meniscus injury because this is the only anatomical structure of more concern never think that this would come around on its own, take care.
