What Is The Treatment For Swelling Behind The Ear?
It feels like the area behind my right ear is swollen. It has been like this for nearly two weeks now. It doesn't hurt when I touch it, my parents felt behind my ear and said it wasn't swollen and I asked my mom to take a picture and there doesn't appear to be any swelling or redness back there. My ear doesn't hurt and there isn't any sort of discharge. I have severe health anxiety and I have been concerned about mastoiditis for a while now since I have recurring ear infections (although 99% of the time the ear infections happen in my left ear, the "swelling" is behind my right ear).
Hi , as per your clinical history it appears as you are palpating mastoid prominence . Since it is not painful to touch , no obvious swelling , redness , raised temperature & no discharge from right ear , it is most likely normal mastoid prominence.
Hope this information helpful to you, take care and have a nice day.
