What Is The Treatment For Sunburn?

This past Tuesday, my 3 year old son and I, played in the yard for about two hours. As usual I lathered us in suncreen-except this time, I switched the brand we normally use. Now his entire face is STILL fire red, and is spreading, covering his ears, hot and itches. What can I do to treat it?? I have been using aloe and Auqaphor for babies and nothing is helping so far.
