What Is The Treatment For Stomach Infection And Blood In Stool?

I am describing you what issues I am facing with Gastric Problem.
According to Bristol Stool Chart: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Bristol_stool_chart.svg
My stool is of Type 5 and Type 6. It gives pungent smell, when stool gets mixed with water it gives bubbles and feel like it is fermenting type. Even stool of Type 5 become of Type 6 when it gets mixed with water in Toilet Pot.
Food pieces comes with stool e.g. if I take peas vegetable in night, I will see complete peas in stool, same is case with other vegetables like landyfinger seeds etc etc...

After taking food within half to one hour my stomach get full of gas and it is bloated and tight. Though I rarely get stomach cramps and pain, I think it happened one or two times only when stool becomes of Type 7.

I am getting stomach infection very regularly within 10-15 days frequency despite my food is prepared at home with cleanness and drinking water is also purified. Sometimes I get blood also in stool i think it happens once in 4 months most probably due to bacterial infection... not because of piles...

All the time medicines prescribed to me by very old and senior doctor as follows
1. Zentel: Albendazole Tablet
2. Zinetac: 300 mg
3. Flagyl 200
4. Nutrolin B

Earlier I used to get infection one in six months... and one week medicine course was sufficient for curing ailment... but Now I have to do 15 days minimum course to be fine... but soon I get infection again... It became chronic and I am troubled with it a lot.... I am sure it is not because of stress as I am getting it regularly as well as of typical type of infection...

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post is attributed to either infection or inflammation in the Gastrointestinal tract.

Presenting with such symptoms, I usually treat my patients with:
1. Tablet Pantoprazole + Domperidone twice daily (to be taken half an hour before food)
2. Anti spasmodics like Dicyclomine preparation twice daily (to be taken after food).
3. Antibiotics like Ofloxacin+Ornidazole preparation twice daily (to be taken after food)
4. Lactobacillus preparations.
5. Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) for maintaining the hydration status of the body.
6. Take soft, plain, non-spicy foods
7. Avoid fast foods & gas producing food products like cabbage, etc.

If symptoms still persist, it will be better to consult a Gastroenterologist & get a proper physical examination done to find out the exact cause.
Investigations like complete blood count, stool examination & Ultrasound scan of abdomen will be helpful in detecting any pathological cause for the symptoms.

Wishing a good health.
Take care.
