I had a sputum test. The test came back saying sputum demonstrated moderate polys and gram-positive cocci in pair culture nondiagnostic. I was wondering what it means cause i was given no medicine for it. I have a cough and cough up dark yellow mucus. I do have emphysema and copd.

If you have fever, then you would require antibiotic therapy with drugs like Augmentin. So, tell me following: 1. Since how long are you having this problem? 2. Any fever associated? 3. Any weight loss? 4. Any blood in sputum? 5. Any respiratory distress?
