Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good day, I suffer from a real problem. I looked it up on the Internet and found the scientific name of it is social phobia. When there is a group of people with me it becomes very very very hard for me to talk. I become confused and started sweating and i lost every thing in mind. is there a solution to my problem :(
I read your query and can understand your distress. From what you have mentioned, it is likely that you might be suffering from social anxiety disorder. Social anxiety is a situation where you avoid social situations, feel that you are always being scrutinized by others and worry that you might embarrass yourself publicly.
It would be advisable that you consult a psychiatrist for your problems. Medications like selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors are effective for your condition. In addition, treatment with behavior therapy sessions will help you in controlling your anxiety. You will need regular sessions (1-2) per week with trained therapist for the same.
Hope this information was helpful. Best wishes.
