What Is The Treatment For Slip Disc?

MRI showing diffuse posterior bulge of L-5 disc showing broad based posterocentral and left central protrusion causing thecal indentation and compression of bilateral traversing S1 nerve roots and impingement over bilateral exiting nerve roots.
Mild posterior bulge of L 4 - 5 disc causing impingement over bilateral exiting nerve roots.
Doctor says its slip disc, advised bed rest. Pl. advise.
