What Is The Treatment For Sleeping Disorder And Memory Loss?

I was unable to sleep for some days, then I consulted a doctor who is a psychiatrist and he advised me to take stilnoct 12.5mg, initially he prescribed 30 tablets i.e., each tablet per day and again when I consulted him after 30 tablets, he added mirnite metlab 15 mg tablet and informed me that I can go ahead with both the tablets in the night. Is it fine to go ahead with both the tablets? I feel some side effect like memory loss when I used stilnoct 12.5 mg now I am taking mirnite since last five days along with stilnock 12.5 mg, please advise.

Hello
Welcome to HCM.
Stillnoct is zolpidem and mirnite is mirtazapine.

There are no serious drug interactions between the two drugs. However, there can be additive sedation.

You are now taking both the drugs.
Do you feel excessive sleepiness?

Both these drugs can cause sedation.

In my opinion, the drug stillnoct should be reduced gradually once mirnite takes its effects in 2-3 weeks.
Stillnoct has chances of causing dependence so it should not be used for long term.

Mirnite is itself sedative and can cause you to sleep.

Kindly discuss this with your doctor.

Thanks.
