What Is The Treatment For Sinus Infection?

I have had migraine headaches and sinusitis most of my life, I have had 2 sinus surgeries. I recently experienced a very infectious sinus attack which led me to the emergency room. I purchased a sinugator to flush out my sinuses - but I still encounter harsh sinus problems with intense pain at the back of my head. Even to the touch, it is very painful. I v been given Z-pack for infection. When I cough, the pressure at the back of my head feels like it will explode and is very intense and very painful. I take alot of pain medication just to function - but I would like real answers to what I can do to illiminate my suffering. I am 51 years old.

Hi welcome to HCM....

You are having chronic sinusitis problem leading you reffered headache ...

You are given azithromycin antibiotic that sounds good...

But as you are having recurrent sinus issue it is better to go for surgical treatment like functional endoscopy sinus surgery with biopsy from sinus mucosa and send for histopathological examination ....
If fungal cause there according to report than antifungal drug needed ...

Meanwhile steam inhalation with added eucalyptus oil taken daily ....

If cold there take decongestent like benadryl....

Repeat your PNS x ray and consult good ENT surgeon to discuss your case with him.

Take care ....
