HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

In some instances after an injury the initial discomfort is not severe but the pain tends to increase in severity reaching a plateau days to a week after the initial insult.
The xrays would have ruled out any fracture so the pain is related to injury of the soft tissue.

This would be treated with rest of the associated area and anti inflammatory pain medication.

The fever that you are experiencing may be coincidental and related to the onset of an unrelated infection. You would need to watch to see if any additional symptoms develop along with the fever.

I hope this helps
