What Is The Treatment For Shortness Of Breath?

Went to the ER with shortness of breath and XRay showed shadow in lower portion of my left lung. Dr said nothing to worry about could be scar tissue. However, after a few days i felt a lump that felt like a golf ball that I could actually feel moving from the bottom of my lung when I coughed. The cough was more like a scratchy throat and not from the lungs. The lump started moving and over the course of a few days felt as if it was stuck in my airway. It has been there for approx 2 months now and my throat is really irritated and I can taste blood if I cough. Any ideas?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist first and get done chest x ray and CT THORAX.
The scar you are talking about in 2 month old x ray, may not be the scar only and may be pneumonia or mass also. And you are not improving in symptoms, rather worsening since 2 months.
So we need to get done repeat x ray chest to look for any worsening of the lesion.
And CT THORAX is far better imaging modality than chest x ray for evaluation of lung lesion.
So please consult pulmonologist and discuss these things.
