What is the treatment for severe vomiting?

Hi,
I know this is a bit weird, but recently I've been vomiting oil or grease from the foods I eat. I think it's mainly from the meats I eat but I'm not quite sure why. I've eaten these foods before, but this only occurred after I entered college and started dorming there. Even when I'm back at home and I eat the foods that I normally ate before college, I throw-up if it contains these oils or grease. I'm wondering what I should do, and what I should eat, because right now I'm staying away from red meats which seem to be helping, but I was wondering if you could tell me why this is happening, what I could do to get it to go away, or how to just deal with it. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Hello,

You have specific complaints of vomiting oily and greasy things in spite of whatever you eat that started after you joined college.

This is rare and weird hence I would advise you the following:
-Send the sample of oily vomitus for lab tests to know what exactly does this contain.
-Stop all the foods and beverages that contain oil, cheese and such things.
-Upper GI Endoscopy.
-Barium tests like swallow, meal and follow through.

Such a thing can occur due to chyllous leaks in stomach that causes such an appearance as you have explained. Chellography, CT scan may be needed.

Consult also the Specialists in these fields with the help of your Family Physician. Once the cause is found the treatment will be specific and may be effective.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant
