What Is The Treatment For Severe Lower Back Pain?

Good evening, I am a 20 year architecture student suffering from severe low backache since 2007.M.R.I in 2007 says central disc herniation with thecal sac indentation at L5-S1.In 2009 the M.R.I showed diffused disc bulge with annular tear aaaat L5-S1 and diffuse disc bulge at L4-L5.Even after two months of medication and rest there was no relief at last I underwent pereneural infiltration.Till recently I used to get off and on pain but they were bearable and managed by pain killers. Now for the past one month I have severe pain and was radiating to the right leg.M.R.I shows posterocentral disc protrusion at L5-S1 level with no neural compromise. I was admitted for a month and was given pain killers and muscle relaxants. I had two episodes of tremors in my both right then left leg. After discharge even with minimum exertion I am getting severe pain because of which I am not able to work. Kindly advice the best alternative for immediate relief.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
U have got disc prolapse at l45 and l5s1 level as per your mri report. You have been admitted for that and taken sufficient medications and rest. I would like to know spinal canal diameter at both disc prolapse levels. If there is no significant canal compromise you should go for epidural kenocort injection at lumbar level. Epidural kenocort helps in reducing inflammatory reaction and oedema and will definitely help in relief of pain.
