What Is The Treatment For Sebaceous Cyst?

Greetings: I have a sebaceous cyst on my back just below by shoulder blade. It erupted, got infected, got real ugly for about two weeks opening up to the size of a quarter, then healed. Healed all but a hole about the size of a pencil lead. It has been about two months but still drains daily and seems not to be healing further. The drainage is a bloody mixture. Is the condition concerning?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

You are right. You must take treatment. Initially take a short course of antibiotics with anti inflammatory drugs to clear the secondary infection. After that minor surgery may be done to remove the sebaceous cyst. For that, you consult dermatologist or sugeon. The cyst may be removed surgically under local anaesthesia in OPD. Do not worry, you may be alright. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
