What Is The Treatment For Runny Nose And Ear Ache?
Hi,
I had flu last week and caught heavy cold then I had to fly from USA to europe.
After the flight I feel heavy inside my ear for last one day. At first I fought it is due to pressure.
But I feel heavy inside my right ear . as if there is huge amount of water inside.
as i try to bend on right side to get it out of my ear, it pains slightly.
I use tissue for running nose ( i had running nose 3 days back not now)
I still get slime early morning.
Is there something i can do to about it.

As per your query you have running nose and heavyness in ear .Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to viral infection that has spread fron upper respiratory track to ear through eustachian tube , which occur sometimes due to low immunity or untreated upper respiratory track infection . I would suggeat you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test , examinatiin of ear with otoscope and CTscan to rule out bacterial infectiin and ear wax buildup. Doctor may prescrube anti viral like acyclovir or anti bacterial along with decongestant and expectorant . For now do warm saline gargles , apply dry warm compresses to external earand drunkhot green tea twice .
