I am a dialysis patient. I am having problems with my feet/legs for a couple of months now. I am also diabetic. Recently I have experienced (to me) problems I do not feel comfortable with, relating to my feet. This problem start while on my dialysis treatment. It is a vibrational feeling. When I come home, I have lunch and then take a nap. When I wake up I feel sick and my legs don t feel right. I believe I may have the restless leg syndrome. I have recently had a test done at St Mary s hospital in Amsterdam, Ny and no problem was found with my legs. Yesterday I contacted my kidney doctor (also use as primary care) and told the help I woke up with the same problem in my feet. When the lady called me back she said Dr Zimmerman wants be to put me on a narcotic and I strongely believe it is not what I need and will find out exactly what the drug does and it s side effects because in the past my doctor prescribe warfin and it has been the only drug that I have had a serious side effect. I want to know what exactly is going on with my legs. It was my experience this last Sunday that has caused me great alarm. The doctor told me to go to the emergency room but, they said there was nothing wrong with my legs (I told the staff about my recent test at the St. Mary s hospital) I was given medication and it greatly helped me. At this point I want another doctor because I do not feel my current doctor has my best interest in mind and think he has rusty skills as a doctor (of course this is only my opinion). I need to feel my doctors are sharp and have the best interest in mind.
