What Is The Treatment For Respiratory Failure And Liver Cirrhosis?

as per doctor my mother is suffering from ILD with type I respiratory failure and cirrhosis liver.they are giving medicine pirfenex 200 and mucinac 600 mg. want to know is the disease is curable and the treatment is right. If the disease is not curable than what can be tentative life she can have on the above treatment

Thanks for your question on HCM. Sorry to say but ILD and cirrhosis both are end stage disease with no cure possible.
So better to accept the situation. And pirfinex is antifibrotic with uncertain efficacy. And has no role in advanced disease. It has some role in early fibrosis.
I advice you to continue mucinac and start home based oxygen therapy.
This will help her more.
And no one can exactly predict the life span but I have seen average life span of 8-10 months in my patients.
Better to discuss end of life issues with her.
