Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about a 30 year old patient,
ultrasound showing bilateral
renal calculi and
Prostatitis with 15 cc volume, on antibiotics and pain killers, but the pain is still there on coughing and sneezing, wants to know other remedies and tests to be done.
With the history you have provided, I would suggest you the following:
Urine: Routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity to decide the infection causing organisms and the best possible antibiotics to get a cure.
Tests of blood: CBC, urea,
creatinine in particular, blood sugar and as advised. PSA means
prostate specific antigen.
Per-rectal digital examination is the best method to know about the prostatitis.
Prostatic massage to get the fluid to be sent for gram staining, culture and sensitivity.
Continue the antibiotics as per the reports.
