hello sir gud morning my mother 55 yrs old, she has mri report like " MRI finding of lumbo sacral spine show paradiscal erosion with sclerosis & marrow edema along d12 & l1 vertable bodies involving adjacent interverterbral disc, possibility of low grade infection- infective spondylo- discitis appears likely. no adjacent soft tissue collection

I carefully read your mother's MRI report and would explain that it indicates degenerations of the bones of the vertebral column in the lumbar region, possibly caused by inflammation or infection.
For this reason, I would recommend consulting with a neurologist. Further tests are needed to investigate for the possible causes:
- PCR, ESR, complete blood count for inflammation
- tests for Brucellosis
- tests for Tuberculosis
- tests for Lyme disease.
You should discuss with her doctor on these issues.
