General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due prostate hyperplasia if you a male above age 40. It can also be associated with colitis which will give tenesmus and feeling of urination by irritating nerve endings. It is better to have an examination with urologist or general surgeon to rule out this. Ultrasound examination will be required to confirm it. In case of prostatic hyperplasia drugs like tamusulosin and dutasteride helps. Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further queries.
