What Is The Treatment For Low Rib Cage Pain?

My fiance has what seems to be a semi soft bulge that has popped out and is located close 2 lowest rib on left side. He fell about a month ago and has been dealing with excrutiating pain and a bad cough has now set in. He is unable 2 sleep due to the injury. He says the hospital cannot help a bruised/broken rib so he has not seeked medical help. I am worried for him. Any ideas??

Hi
Welcome to healhcaremagic
After going through your query I concluded that your fiancé may be having rib fractures which he got nearly 1month back. The fractures can be confirmed by x ray of chest. But your fiancé is not willing to go to medical aid. He will be benefited by rest. Analgesic such as ibuprofen is helpful in pain relief. Vitamin B and C is helpful in recovery. You can discuss your doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
