What Is The Treatment For Loose Motions Caused By Clipar LA?

Patient history: my father is of 65yrs age he had his bipass surgery 8yrs ago, he is suffering from diabeties from last 30yrs, he has mild kidney problem and grade-II esophageal viruses in his liver
problem: he takes all his medicines regularly about 6 months ago he was prescribed with hapamarz for liver disease then he started to suffer with loose stools which was not treatable inspite of giving anti diarrhea drugs we have admitted him in hospital then it got cured i guess it was side effect of that medicine and now from last 10 days he is using clipar LA again he is suffering the same, same sort of loose motions completely watery (3times till now in last 3 hrs ) can you please prescribe some drug to stop loose motions as soon as possible.

Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Your Father looks to be suffering from liver cirrhosis as he already has esophageal varices and some medicines like Hepamerz and Clipar LA. The intolerance causes loose watery stools and usually stops within a few days after stopping such medications.
You can certainly give the medicines to control the loose stools.
Give pre and probiotics, yogurt, bananas and avoid all the foods and beverages that you know give loose stools.
Also get the blood sugar tested as well as liver and kidney functions as these may be deranged a lot.
If the above measures do not help, please consult your Gastroenterologist to have review, investigations and proper management as these need a prescription based medications which you can not procure without a valid prescription.
