What Is The Treatment For Laryngitis?

I sallowed my saliva and it went down the wrong pipe. I just cleared my throat and coughed a bit as normal. I noticed that day that my voice sounded funny by the next day I lost my voice, sounds like I have laryngitis. It s been 5 days. What could it be.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to laringitis which is an inflammation of the larynx.
I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation.
I also recommend using a spray for local properties.
If the symptoms continue for more that five days,
antibiotics may be needed.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
