What Is The Treatment For Irregular Periods And Infertility In Woman?

I am trying to conceive for last two years. I have irregular period. This cycle, I took Letrezol for five days. On July 03,2014, I had ovulation bleeding for four days, Ovulation was monitored by ultrasound and blood test. Took Duphaston for ten days and on July 18, 2014 I got BFN and stopped the Duphaston. Today is July 25 and still I don t have my period. If I ovulated shouldn t I get my period after 12-16 days? it s 20 days past now. Could it be that I didn t ovulate even with the ultrasound and blood test ? plse advice

Hi,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. If you ovulated as predicted and did not conceive, you should receive your period after two weeks. Blood test cannot detect exact timing of ovulation but follicular studies often do. An even simpler and reasonably accurate test when performed carefully is the recording of the basal body temperature from day one of the cycle. In this, ovulation is indicated by a rise in temperature and this is sustained if conception has occurred. Please go for a pregnancy test followed by a sonogram to plan further management. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
