General Surgeon 's  Response
hello dear,
i do understand your problem. if you walks to my clinic then i will ask you for few investigations like
1. gastroduodenoscopy
2. 24 hr PH monitoring
and after confirming the GERD , i will treat according to the severity of disease.

first we try conservative methods like
1. avoid alcohol
2. avoid coffee
3. avoid smoking
4. avoid spicy foods
5. continue PPI
5. sleep in head elevation position

if above measures fails then we will go for surgery. and gold standared technique is laparoscopic fundoplication.

hope i solved your question but in case you have any problems, you can write back to me.

thanks
