Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

Your sister has hyperthyroidism with swelling in thyroid. She may have some toxic goitre. She should check her T3, T4 and TSH level. She also need a ultrasound neck. It will give you exact idea. Then start treatment accordingly.

Drugs like propylthiouracil and carbimazol are useful in hyperthyroidism. It is prescription based medicine so consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
