What Is The Treatment For Hot Flashes?

I am a 58 year old woman who has already gone through my life change. The hot flashes have passed but now my body stays hot all the time. 70 degrees is too hot for me. My feet always feel like a hot iron is on them and I have pains running into my toes. I know that this is a symptom of diabetes but I check this and it is OK. I have a physical every year and nothing shows up. The body heat continues to get worse and I sleep with my windows open even at 25 degrees. Have to shower 2 times a day. What do I do next. I have also tried cutting out different foods and drinks. Nothing helps.

Hi

Several medications have been shown to help with hot flash symptoms, including clonidine (a blood pressure medication), low doses of certain antidepressants and gabapentin.

Non-medical recommendations include:

Adequate hydration.Drink ice water or apply an ice pack at the onset of a hot flash.

Wear cotton or lightweight, breathable fabrics.

Exercise on a regular basis.Try practicing meditation or relaxation exercises to manage stress.

Avoid triggers such as warm rooms, spicy foods, caffeinated beverages, and alcohol.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
