What Is The Treatment For High Fever , Strep Throat And Headache?

My 6yr old has high fever for almost 24hrs, takes a while for tylenol to react. Heachache on & off today, sore throat this morn but not now, little runny nose now, tiny red dots on back of palate (just a handful he can feel with his tongue)....sound like strep? Drs are closed, debating an urgent care if it s soemthing that can t wait until tomorrow. Any info would be helpful...thanks!

Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that your 6 year old is having fever with sore throat and headache. My response to your query is as below.
These symptoms indicate acute upper respiratory tract infection.
This requires treatment by the use of appropriate antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs.
The microbe causing this can be found out by culture and sensitivity and the antibiotics need to be changed depending on this report.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Hope this answers your question.
Do write back to me for further questions.
