If he continues eating unhealthy foods and stays inactive then increasing cholesterol levels can harm his health in future. Persuade your husband to stay active and eat healthily. Avoid snacking on fried stuffs like munching chips, biscuits and crackers. Give him carrot sticks, cucumber slices or sprout salads to eat whenever he feels hungry. Give him buttermilk often as it will make him feel full for sometime and does not provide many calories. Fresh fruits like apples, watermelons, citrus fruits and papaya, can be given in between meals as healthy snacks. Keep some low fat snacks like roasted bengal gram, sprouted grams, vegetables sandwiches for him to eat. Avoid buying or stocking your refrigerator with processed foods and fried snacks. Keep healthy, low fat and fibre rich foods like vegetables for salads, fruits, sprouts, buttermilk and sandwiches, steamed foods etc. handy. You cannot stop him from eating but you can certainly help him choose healthy alternatives to unhealthy snacking.
