What Is The Treatment For High Blood Pressure?

my blood pressure is 166/109 right now and it is midnight sowhat do i do iam not a bp patient
i am 47yrs my height is 164cm and weight is 58.5kg after my cesarian in1996 i had a bp problem for ashort while but after that my bp was in the range of130/90 i dont have any other problem but am in my menopause stage

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You first monitor your resting BP frequently and make a chart. If readings are persistently high then you will need treatment. Start with low salt diet and regular exercises. Also have low fat, oily and calorie diet. You will also need a BP medicine if BP is more than 140/90 mmHg. I usually give tab Telmisartan to my patients in clinic. You can get medicine prescribed from local doctor.
