What Is The Treatment For High BP And Excessive Sweating?
My husband (52 yrs) who has nothing wrong in his ecg but has been advised TMT as he has high BP (140-150/90-100), feels very lethargic and experienced breathlessness, fatigue, profuse sweating recently. Here I would like to add that his mother (79 yrs.)is diabetic and has high BP (150-160/65-85) and father (83 yrs) is undergoing cardiology treatment. What if TMT too comes negative like ECG, will he be advised some further test or is perfectly fine...
Hi welcome to HCM. High blood pressure needs prompt treatment with antihypertensive drugs especially in the setting of strong family history of daibetes ,hypertension and heart disease in parents. The normal range of blood pressure needed in your case is 110-130/60-90 mm of Hg pressure.Elevated blood pressure is usually associated with coronary artery disease presenting with symptoms as you mentioned.TMT test can diagnose any exercise induced ischemia. In such a case further work up in the form of coronary angiography is adviced. In the event of negative TMT ,a follow up with same is recommended after 6 months.Consult your doctor for further queries. Thank you
