What Is The Treatment For Heartburn?

I m a 22 yo female with no pmhx on spironolactone and doxycycline for acne having pain between my scapula when I eat solid food x 3 days. It feels like I am swallowing a golf ball. The pain radiates down my left arm and that pain is burning/electric feeling. I have had gerd like symptoms for the past 3 years. Now I m having increased burping and mild burning midsternal CP.

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

The best treatment for heartburn is PPI medications like Prilosec. It is available OTC.
Since you also complain of difficulty in swallowing solid foods, I would advise you to get an upper GI endoscopy done to rule out any obstruction.

I hope that answers your query.
Regards.
