What Is The Treatment For Headache?

Had a severe headache in the past 3 days. It happened when I started taking a Evening Primrose Oil before bed time. I ve woken up with the severe headache and felt like my front lobe brain (if that s how you call it) was swelling. The feeling was there s a pressure in my head and swelling. I couldn t move my head as it was really heavy headache. It subsided in the morning but there was still a pain infront of my forehead. I stopped taking EPO when I thought that was the reason why. Can you please explain what happened? Will I be concern? I am scared to think that I could have stroke or anything related. I feel fine today but as I said, I still have pain in my forehead (above my eyes at the right side). Checked my blood pressure when I woke up this morning and it was 124/84 then after 10 hours it was 94/52. Looking forward to read your answer and thank you very much.

Hi,

I am Dr.Bruno. I have read your question with care and understand your concerns. Let me try to help you

The Symptoms you have described are
1. Severe Headache
2. You woke with the headache
3. It was in Frontal Region
4. It subsided in the morning

All these features are common when the pressure increases inside your skull. This condition is called as Raised Intracranial Tension.

This can be due to various reasons and most of the cases of raised pressure are amenable to treatment

You have to consult a Neurosurgeon at the earliest and he will guide you as per the Findings of Clinical Examination and Fundus Examination

Hope you found the answer helpful.

If you need any clarification / have doubts / have additional questions / have follow up questions, then please do not hesitate in asking again. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
