my 6 years old boy for the past few days suffering from head ache. I checked with one ophthalmologist. He prescribed he is having SPH +1.00 CYL -1.50 AXIX 10 VISION 6/12. The very next day i approached another opthamologist he prescribed SPH +/- CYL +1.50 AXIS 100 VISION 6/6. Totally I confused. which doctor's advise is correct? .
Hello It seems from the history that your 6 year old boy is suffering from headache and the cause for this is refractive error. Since he is aged 6 years he needs to undergo refraction testing under homatropine or cyclopentolate eye drops. As the refraction readings are varying by showing different values I can say which ever is done by using homatropine or cyclopentolate is correct. By the readings since the second reading is showing 6/6 vision it seems to be correct compared to first one.
Thank you
