Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello,

First you need to check thyroid function to rule out hypothyroidism as the cause of your weight gain.

After radioactive iodine treatment, hypothyroidism can be installed and needs treatment. About bariatric surgery, there should be many in your area. Talk to your endocrinologist what does he/she suggest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Mirjeta Guni, Endocrinologist
