Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi since the past 5 weeks running i have been suffering from dry cough which lasts atleast 15 secs and followed immediately by gastritis ...sometimes it happens after i have taken some sandwhich ...during which i spit out phelgm n mix of the food ...but its not the vomit more like some sort of liquid acid that shoots upwards from the food pipe. Kindly let me know what is it that am suffering from.
I really appreciate your concern. Ideally cough symptoms of more that couple of weeks needs to be brought to investigation like x-ray of chest, routine blood test, urine test even sputum examination, I would suggest to get this done till then you can try Tab Levocetrizine if it is the allergic cough, more acid secretion could be the cause of this but first it is important to get done the routine tests.
Hope this information helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain Shaikh
