What Is The Treatment For Foot Pain After Injury?

I play ice hockey. This morning I got hit with a fairly hard shot to the inside of my left in the center (where your toes connect to that large bone in the middle). It hurt a lot at the time, but after some obscenities and carrying on I resumed play. Now, as the day has gone on, I have developed immense pain just on the other side of that large bone on the outside of my foot. Pain is so severe that I can't point my toe all the way without it being a 10 on pain scale. Also can't rotate my foot so the sole of my foot points toward the right more than a couple degrees, also with a 10.

Why would a blow to the inside of my foot cause so much pain on the outside, just on the other side of that bone? Did things get misaligned? Could it be a break?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
The first and very important is the x-ray study of your foot without this what ever being told would be just assumption, for the pain you can have Ibuprofen 600 mg twice a day, keep the foot in elevated position, if it is the fracture then this will take little longer time to come around, again the x-ray is must have nice day.
