What Is The Treatment For Fever And Vomiting?

My 8 yr old child was complaining of a sore throat and a belly ache last night before bed. This morning he woke up and vomited twice also stating he is burping up a rotten egg smell. He also has a fever of 99.0 ax after ibuprofen that I'm not sure stayed down.

Hello. Thank you for your question. Fever with sore throat and abdominal pain typically indicate a throat infection. Many of these are viral, in which case fluids, rest, and Ibuprofin as needed, are all that is necessary. Some, however, are bacterial and will require antibiotic in order to resolve. I recommend consulting with your doctor so the correct diagnosis can be made and the appropriate treatment plan implemented.
